Safe Taxi Scheme
We are pleased to launch our ‘Cardiff Met Safe Taxi scheme' in association with Veezu.
The Veezu Safe Taxi scheme - now in its twelfth successful year in Cardiff - is an emergency safeguard which ensures that all students can get a lift back to their uni halls or student accommodation after a night out, even if they don’t have any money for the fare on them. 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Cardiff Met students can book an emergency journey with Veezu. The fare will be covered by the SU and students must repay the Union within 72 hours, referencing their student number.
Will Fuller, CEO of Cardiff Metropolitan University, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Veezu for their continued support through the Safe Rides initiative. This service plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, especially during times of need. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and strengthening our partnership to provide the best possible experience for Met students.”
