Training with Cardiff Met

The Cardiff Met trampolining team welcome and encourage everyone from varied skill backgrounds to join the team. Whether you have been jumping professionally for years, have some experience or have never been on a trampoline before, we welcome everyone of all abilites. The club also has links with the Cardiff Met Academy which competes in the National Competition structure.

The training sessions are as follows:

Tuesdays 8:30-10pm (NIAC)

Thursdays 8:30-10pm (NIAC)

The training sessions are supervised by qualified coaches. Unless we are preparing for competitions, training sessions are generally relaxed and there is no pressure to attend every single session! We can understand how busy and stressful university/life can get!

Competing for Cardiff Met

The Cardiff Met trampolining team attends several competitions throughout the year, including BUCS, but mostly at SUTL competitions around the UK. This is where university trampolining teams from the South of the UK come together to compete. The competitions have routines for beginners, intermediate and advanced competitiors, covering all skill levels! There is no pressure to compete if that is something you are not up for but we highly reccommed it as a great weekend away, a chance to connect as a team and create lots of fun and exciting memories!

Our efforts at competitions throughout the 23/24 year won us the Vice Chancellor Award at the Cardiff Met Sports Awards ceremony. From members perfoming the simpler routines to those competiting at highly skilled levels, we all got recognition as a team and everyone was praised for their hard work at competitions.

Socialising at Cardiff Met

The trampolining team enjoys socialising as it an excellent chance to make new friends and form bonds with each other. We offer a variety of socials in order to cater to everyone. We have several night socials throughout the year, often with funny themes to dress up as. However, we also do daytime and sober socials, such as mug paining which we all took part in last year as a good way to be creative and spend time together. There's an opportunity for everyone to get involved!

Memberships Benefits

Members will have the opportunity to participate in a sport which isn't easily accessible and become a part of and ever growing, friendly team. Members are provided the opportunity to develop skills for a unique sport, and work with others to improve technique. The team aims to help all returning students and will provide a reduced returners membership rate.
