Equestrian
Welcome to the newly formed Equestrian Team!
After two years of no activity we finally have a plan in place to get back up and running!
Requirements
To join we ask that you are able to walk, trot and canter to a good level.
You can borrow a helmet, but must have sensible footwear (Let me know if you need help with this - boots can be bought for around £10 on amazon). Legs need to be completely covered and tops much cover shoulders.
What does our membership include?
Memberships will include two competition days - weekly lessons will be available to you on a pay as you go basis and are £28pp for an hour.
Weekly lessons will be in Smugglers Equestrian Centre in Blackwood on a Wednesday with Payton (thats me!) who is your team captain and a qualified BHS Instructor.
Competition Days will be (approx.) End of Jan/Beginning of Feb and End of April/ Beginning of May. - Now, DO NOT STRESS this is a bit of fun for you to come, groom, plait and ride a horse in 'competition environment' and then complete a dressage test and course of show jumps. This will be catered to your ability - If you want to pop over cross poles, that is what you can do - It is fun - I promise!
Memberships also have a few pounds (under 5) added on for us to use the bus for a day trip - Last Year we went to Badminton on Cross Country Day and it was amazing! (bonus points because I drove a massive bus and no one died).
Travel?
We have a private FB group where the girls organise car pooling - usually offering snacks does the trick

In order to process and activate your membership, your name, student number and any additional information you are required to provide to participate in your sport will need to be made available to the SU, committee members of the clubs you wish to join and external organisations where appropriate. Your details will be used to effectively manage your membership and communicate relevant club, fixture, social event information to you.
