On the vibrant evening of November 12th, Diwali lit up our campus. Organized by the SU's Vice President and continued from previous years by Venky Gonavaram, this cheerful celebration brought together over 200 students and staff. It was a joint effort between Cardiff Met SU and Coordinating Chaplain, embracing the Festival of Lights.

The event was a mix of cultural joy, including a special pooja ceremony, a lively fashion display showcasing the ethnic wear, tasty traditional food, and lively desi music for dancing.
My aim was to make international students feel at home and share cultural diversity with everyone. Thanks to Cardiff Met SU and the Ameira for letting us to organize this event, creating a Diwali evening that felt like a second home for everyone.
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to the incredible team whose unwavering support acted as the backbone of this event, ensuring its success. Your dedication and hard work made this celebration a memorable one. Additionally, immense gratitude to all the students for their enthusiastic engagement and participation, infusing the evening with vibrant energy and joy. Let’s continue to cherish and celebrate unity in diversity, not only during festivals but every day.
Together, we made this Diwali celebration a cherished and inclusive experience for our campus community.
