The SU offices, Centro and The Shop will be closed from the 20th of December and we will be returning on the 6th of January.
(Centro will be open from 12pm - 4pm on the 4th of January for the rugby).

Learning Centre opening hours
Learning Centres at Cyncoed and Llandaff will be open throughout the winter closure period. The learning centres will be staffed day and evening until 20 December, including Saturday 14 December.
Access to ground floors remains 24 hours over the Christmas period with your MetCard. You will find printing facilities, computers and books to read.
Staffed services will resume on Monday 6 January (including evenings and Saturdays) from 11 January.
Halls/ home security
- Lock your home: Always lock your doors when you leave. Keep windows locked, especially those on the ground floor or near accessible ledges
- Take valuable items home: Don’t leave valuable items in your university accommodation over Christmas.
MetRider Bus Service
The MetRider bus runs during term time only.
The Cardiff Bus website has information on bus routes available during the festive season.
Staying in Cardiff over the Christmas period?
If you’re planning to stay in your Cardiff Met accommodation or return to your room during the holiday period, please let your Halls Manager know in advance.
Our Accommodation offices will be closed from 4.30pm on Friday 20 December 2024. They will reopen at 8.30am on Monday 6 January 2025.
Student Services opening hours
Our services, including the i-zone, wellbeing, careers, money advice, learning support and chaplaincy will be closed from 20 December until 6 January 2025.
Access to the disability, mental health and wellbeing form will be closed from the end of the day, Tuesday 17 December, until 6 January.
The financial support appointment request form will be closed from Thursday 19 December until 6 January.

If you require health or mental health support during the holiday period, please use the following services:
- In life-threatening situation always call 999 immediately
- Contact your GP for non-urgent health concerns. If you’re not yet registered, you can do so online via Cardiff GP Registration.
- For mental health support dial 111, then press 2.
- For general health concerns dial 111 for advice or urgent medical treatment.
- Visit your local pharmacy for advice on non-urgent medical issues.
