On Thursdays 20th October, Cardiff Met SU and the University hosted an event to celebrate Black History Month at Centro Lower Lounge.
Hosted by Jak Beulla and Kesheniwa Aghaji from the Nubian Jak Charitable trust (NJCT), 60 staff and students came together for an evening to share learning, raise awareness and take part in a diversity quiz, whilst enjoying authentic Jamaican food provided by the ‘The Real Ting’.
To say the competitive edge was present would be an understatement!
The leader board was close throughout with teams ’Better than the SU’ and ‘Even better than the SU’ ahead on points. As the rounds progressed, the gap closed and the SU team were hot on the heals of the leading teams. By the final round, joint leaders ‘Better than the SU and ’Even better than the SU competed in a tie break question with the overall winners ‘Even better than the SU’ winning.
An evening to celebrate, to come together and truly be #OneCardiffMet!
