The Student Lead Teaching Fellowships were launched in London School of Commerce alongside a QAA Focus group.
On Monday 2nd December Ruth Foster, Students' Union President and Hannah Reilly, Training and Development Manager, visited Cardiff Met Students' studying at our partner institution London School of Commerce (LSC)
The visit was a great opportunity to speak to a range of students studying a variety of Cardiff Met programmes and to explore the campuses they are based on.
The visit also marked the opening of this year’s Student Led Teaching Fellowships (SLTF) at LSC which are now in their third year having proved very popular. Students will spend the next few weeks nominating teaching staff for their excellent work and we look forward to awarding the winner at the February graduation ceremony.
As well as launching SLTF and visiting classes to encourage nominations, a focus group was held with a group of student representatives to find out what it's like to study a Cardiff Met programme at LSC. The feedback from this focus group gave the SU a great insight into student life in London and will form a valuable part of the Student Submission for the QAA.
As Cardiff Met students you are lucky to be part of a network of thousands of students and alumni all over the world with LSC in London being just one of our partners. Find out more about our other partners and opportunities to study abroad by visiting www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/outwardmobility
Don't forget that just like the students at LSC we need your voice to form the QAA student submission via your reps.
Also keep an eye out for SLTF on your campus where you too can reward excellent teaching.
