An impressive 18 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses for our Archers this week as we head into the business end of the BUCS season. League matches are coming to an end with plenty of teams scrapping it out for top spots. 

Men's Football 3rd team achieved promotion from Western 4B with a thrilling 3-3 draw at home against Gloucestershire 3rd team. Whilst the 1st team also drew against Gloucestershire away, despite creating chances the ball wouldn't find the back of the next. The final score 0-0 after a tough game on a poor pitch. Despite 2 draws the 2nd, 4th and 5th team all recorded wins with the 2nd and 5th team beating Swansea's equivalent sides and the 4ths winning 2-1 against Cardiff Uni. 

Women's Basketball made it 8 wins from 8 as they travelled to Southampton Solent for their last away trip of the season. Azeb Smalley being awarded player of the match after patient offensive play allowing her teammates to reap the benefits with easy looks at the basket. Stef Collins and Jess Jenkins both with 17 points in a game that ended 67-46. The Women's 2nd team were also on the road, this time the short distance across the Bridge to Bristol where they took the win 61-34 to remain top of the table in Western 2B. 

An outstanding week for Rugby with 6 wins in total! The Men winning 4 out of 4, and the Women winning 2 from 2. The Men's 2nd team travelled to London to face St. Marys bringing back 73-0 victory, meanwhile at home the 4th and 5th team won 60-7 and 54-0. All that was left was for the 1st team to show their skills under the Wednesday Night Lights of the rugby pitch, a great turn out in the stands witnessed a 27-7 defeat of Bath 1st team to round off an excellent day for Men's Rugby. The Women's 1st team were coming off the back of a defeat and set things straight with a 117-0 win against Oxford 1st team, Player of the Match being awarded to Courtney Arberry who displayed strong carries and good offloads throughout the game. Excellent kicking from Jess Roberts (5 conversions) and Amberly Ruck (6 conversions) helped rack up the points in addition to 6 tries from Winger Jasmine Joyce.

1st team Netball made it 10 wins from 10 thanks to excellent shooting stats with a 92% average and a great success rate from turnovers, resulting in 66-36 win against Exeter 1st team. The 4th and 5th teams also recorded home victories winning 68-4 and 59-21 respectively, whilst the 3rd's lost by 6 points away to Cardiff Uni. Women's Lacrosse are also on the list of unbeaten Cardiff Met teams after this week's 26-3 win against Cardiff Uni, keeping them top of the table with 5 wins from 5 games. 

Hockey Women were all at home this week with the 2nd and 3rd team facing each other, the 2nd team proving their superiority after a 3-0 victory against their fellow Archers. The 1st team put 2 past Southampton 1st team, the goals coming from Julie Whiting and Sarah Bracey. The Men's 1st team travelled to Oxford Brookes but lost 3-2, keeping them mid table in the Premier South.
