Position: Archie the SU Mascot
Commitment: Flexible, throughout the academic year
Location: Various campus and local event venues
Overview:
Do you want to bring energy and fun to our SU Events? We're looking for enthusiastic students to volunteer as Archie, the beloved mascot of the SU! This is a fun, rewarding, and high-energy role, perfect for anyone who enjoys interacting with others and wants to get involved with SU Events.
Responsibilities:
- Wear and perform as Archie the SU Mascot at various SU Events throughout the academic year (e.g., SU Freshers' Fayre, sporting events such as Varsity and on pop up events).
- Engage with students, staff in a fun, energetic, and approachable way.
- Participate in photos, social media campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Support the events team in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Adhere to event guidelines and ensure safety while in costume.
Requirements:
- Must be a current student at Cardiff Met
- Comfortable wearing a full mascot costume.
- Outgoing personality to engage a crowd with gestures and body language (no speaking required while in costume).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled events.
- Physically fit to handle the demands of the costume (walking, dancing, etc.).
- Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions from event coordinators.
