As part of the newly launched, ‘Love When You Leave’ campaign (formerly known as Get It Out For Cardiff), the Waste Strategy Team alongside volunteers from Environmental Champions will be conducting some walkabouts in the student areas of Cathays, Roath and Gabalfa.
The ‘Love When You Leave’ campaign is the annual end of term waste, recycling and charity collection scheme, set up to ensure that moving out at the end of term is stress free and also leaves our communities clean and tidy. The scheme includes a re-use and charity collection of unwanted items.
During the walkabouts, students living in Cathays, Roath and Gabalfa will be advised on how they can effectively manage their waste and unwanted items before they move out. There will be a briefing at the start of each walkabout, so any queries can be answered.
The walkabouts will start on Monday 21st May – Thursday 30th May. All walkabouts will start at 3pm and aim to finish before 6pm.
