National Careers Week!

So we come to the end of National Careers Week, and it’s been so great to see students showing interest in employability and their future!

UMAX Stand

It was good to see a full CV drop box, ready for Hannah and Charlotte to have a look at the CV’s students have left for UMAX. We also had lots of you letting us know your dream jobs on our scribble board.

There was lots of interest in online training courses, all free (paid by the Studens’ Union) so take the opportunity to learn new skills where you can!

Workshops

I hope those that could took an opportunity to take part in the workshops available which ran this week. Our trainers are really passionate about what they do – so an opportunity to learn from this is not to be missed!

Organisations

Companies getting involved with the NCW really does make it all the more worthwhile, with the likes of Aiesec, Bullies Out, and Ace Cardiff providing us as students with information on employment and volunteering opportunities.

Employers Insights

A big thanks to ICE (Innovation for Enterprise) and various Sporting Wales organisations for providing us with their employer insights - covering tips on getting in to their industries and what they look for when hiring new employees.

4:25pm on 24 Dec 14 Careers Week encourages education providers to bring together students, local employers and advisers through careers events and activities. During National Careers Week it is up to every school, academy and college to offer careers advice and guidance to their students. We are here to help and can provide free resources, information on current career opportunities and advice on activities and exercises to run.
-- Christina Casey @ Paid to click programs
