CARDIFF MET Students' union TO SIGN THE TIME TO CHANGE PLEDGE

Cardiff Met SU signed the Time to Change pledge on the 24th of January, 2017. Read our press release here.

What does the Time to Change Wales  Pledge involve?

Cardiff Met Students’ Union, working with Time to Change Wales on the national campaign, intends to reduce the stigma around mental health which prevents our students and staff accessing the help they need. By putting into place a plan of action we hope to create an environment on our campuses where mental health stigma has no place and to improve the provision of support for those who need it.

The key elements of our pledge include:

  • We aim to develop an open blog platform for contributions allowing students and staff to share their experiences about their mental health.
  • We will regularly review our student campaigns to assess their impact and improve our actions around mental health and to challenge stigma.
  • We will develop a dedicated ‘wellness wall’ on our website – encouraging better access to information and support.
